
Benefits Manager - North America

Chemours is seeking a Benefits Manager — North America to join our growing Total Rewards team. This hybrid position will be based at the Wilmington, DE headquarters and report directly to the Vice President of Total Rewards & HR Operations.
The Benefits Manager oversees the strategy, budget, administration, compliance, and communication of health, welfare, and retirement benefit programs for Chemours’ US and Americas based employees.
Responsibilities
In partnership with VP Total Rewards, develop and own long‑term Benefits strategy for the organization, ensuring alignment with overall Total Rewards strategy and organizational goals.
Manage daily operations of benefits administration, including health, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, and 401(k) plans.
Manage vendor relationships, ensuring optimum partnerships in support of the employee experience.
Serve as a primary point of contact for complex employee inquiries and escalated issues; resolve problems with empathy and professionalism.
Ensure programs are in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA).
Manage annual open enrollment, vendor relationships, audits, and benefit plan renewals.
Collaborate with HR partners, payroll, finance, and external vendors to ensure seamless administration and accurate financial reporting.
Analyze benefit utilization and trends; regularly recommend improvements and cost‑saving opportunities.
Maintain strong cost management and budget oversight – with close line of sight to program costs and ROI of benefits programs.
Prepare and present benefits communications and educational materials to diverse audiences.
Participate in the design and implementation of new benefits programs and policies.
Manage and mentor Benefits team; providing training, coaching, and performance feedback.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
7+ years’ experience in benefits administration, with 3+ years in a managerial or lead role.
Experience in benefits administration as well as strategy development and vendor relationship management.
Strong cost management and financial and budgeting focus.
Strong knowledge of U.S. employee benefits laws and regulations.
Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion.
Preferred Qualifications
CEBS or other benefits certification.
Experience with Workday and benefits platforms; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Pay Terms
Annual Bonus Target: 16%
