LHH is partnering exclusively with our long-time manufacturing client in their search for

Staff Accountant

to add to their growing team. The Staff Accountant is responsible for overseeing and performing accounting activities, ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting, maintaining compliance with accounting standards, and supporting financial analysis and decision-making. This position will assist with audits, budgeting, financial controls and balance sheet reconciliations and have a significant role in the management and oversight of the AP and AR functions including overall process improvements to the procure to pay and order to cash process. Responsibilities

Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

Monthly closing of AP and AR.

Manage and oversee general ledger activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.

Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies.

Analyze financial data and provide insightful reporting to management.

Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting.

Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes.

Coordinate with external auditors and assist with audit preparations.

Monitor and improve internal accounting controls and procedures.

Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains.

Assist with tax preparation and regulatory reporting when required.

Participate and contribute to the implementation of new ERP.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or public accounting environment.

Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.

Experience with ERP systems and accounting software (Great Plains/Microsoft Business Dynamics).

Knowledge and understanding of cost accounting concepts and practical applications.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
