Position Summary The Cad Design Drafter will play a pivotal role in the facilities operation by drawing part prints for the shop floor and being a understudy of a Senior Design Engineer.
Duties And Responsibilities Create technical drawings and blueprints using CAD software based on sketches, or design concepts from engineers.
Generate 2D and 3D models for projects.
Revise and update drawings according to feedback, design changes, or project requirements.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and project standard.
Collaborate with project teams, including engineers and managers to clarify design details and resolve issues.
Maintain organized digital libraries of drawings and technical documents for version control and project tracking.
Prepare supplementary documentation, such as bills of materials or technical specs.
Education And Experience Required Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or SolidWorks.
Strong attention to detail and precision in measurements and design.
Mathematical and technical skills to interpret engineering and architectural plans.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members and conveying
Preferred Education, Experience, And Skills Education: Typically a 2-year associate degree or 1-year certificate in computer-aided design and drafting (CADD), including coursework in mathematics, engineering, and CAD software.
Experience: Entry-level positions may not require prior work experience, but familiarity with CAD software is essential. Senior positions often require 2–5 years of experience and may include supervisory responsibilities.
Certifications: Optional professional certification from the American Design Drafting Association can enhance career prospects.
