Responsibilities: Partner with company leadership to develop and execute human resource and talent strategies, with a focus on retention, engagement, and succession planning
Provide guidance and support for day-to-day HR operations, including employee relations, performance concerns, and organizational initiatives
Develop, implement, and monitor HR strategies, systems (HRIS), policies, and procedures across the organization
Foster and promote a positive, inclusive, and high-performing workplace culture; serve as the primary driver of employee engagement and morale initiatives
Design, implement, and manage training, learning, and development programs to support employee growth and leadership development
Oversee and maintain the company’s compensation structure and performance evaluation programs, making enhancements as needed
Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of HR policies and the employee handbook to ensure compliance and consistency
Oversee benefits administration, including annual benefit reviews, vendor coordination, billing reconciliation, discrepancy resolution, and claims auditing
Ensure competitive and compliant benefits offerings through analysis and partnership with brokers and leadership
Manage and process full-cycle payroll, including data entry, deductions, adjustments, audits, and final submission
Conduct payroll audits (pre- and post-processing) to ensure accuracy of wages, taxes, and deductions
Handle payroll-related corrections such as returns, voids, and off-cycle payments
Administer and maintain all payroll tax documentation, including W-2s, 1095-C forms, 1099s, and applicable filings
Partner cross-functionally with accounting and operations to support contractor setup and payroll processing within the HRIS/payroll system
Generate, analyze, and report on HR metrics and KPIs, including safety data, to support leadership decision-making
Maintain compliance reporting and audits, including EEO-1, OSHA 300 logs, workers’ compensation codes, and state/federal filings
Manage annual filings such as Form 5500 and ensure accuracy across all regulatory submissions
Develop and maintain affirmative action programs and ensure adherence to applicable regulations
Conduct new hire onboarding and orientation; manage offboarding and exit interview processes
Lead workers’ compensation investigations and oversee claims administration
Maintain and contribute content for internal HR communications, including newsletters and employee updates
Ensure full compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and HR best practices
Experience: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Business, or Organization Development or degree with appropriate experience.
Proven, progressive leadership experience in Human Resources positions.
Specialized training in employment law, compensation, organizational planning, organization development, employee relations, safety, training and preventive labor relations preferred.
Excellent business acumen, communication skills, ability to critically evaluate situations and employees and provide constructive feedback, high ethical standards and excellent relationship management skills.
