Maintenance Technician I
Overview
As a Maintenance Technician I, you will play a vital role in keeping our manufacturing facility running smoothly. This role focuses on shop floor upkeep, machine operations, and repair.
Schedule and Compensation
Schedule: 2nd Shift (3:00 PM – 11:00 PM) or 3rd Shift (11:00 PM – 7:00 AM).
Compensation: Starts at $26.39/hr, plus a $1.00 shift differential.
Growth: Rapid pay progression with the potential to reach a top rate of $29.99/hr within your first year.
Essential Functions
Responsible for general knowledge of any/all job‑related machinery, equipment, and work instructions.
Preventative upkeep of equipment.
Oil buggy operation and maintenance.
Minor repairs such as straightforward mechanical, electrical, or plumbing issues.
Communication with leadership regarding any concerns.
Lift truck operation.
Maintain a clean work environment.
Follow all safety protocols including LOTO and ensure the facility meets all safety standards.
Regular cleaning and lubricating of moving machinery parts.
Maintain accurate records of all maintenance work performed and parts used utilizing CMMS software.
Monitor stock levels of parts and supplies to prevent repair delays.
Assist Maintenance Tech II in diagnosing complex machinery malfunctions.
Hi‑Rise operation.
Some electrical work.
Other duties as assigned.
Position Qualifications
Ability to work safely.
Ability to regularly lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 lbs and up to 100 lbs with assistance.
Ability to stand, walk, climb ladders and work in awkward spaces.
Licensed forklift operator.
High level of eye‑hand coordination to operate specialized hand and power tools.
Basic computer skills.
Not afraid of heights.
Experience
At least 3 years' experience in a maintenance role.
Previous work experience in a fast‑paced industrial setting.
Related technical or mechanical experience preferred.
