Job Summary
A non‑exempt medical office position responsible for front‑office processes in the physician practice.

500 Sign on Bonus.

Responsibilities

Adheres to and supports the mission, purpose, philosophy, objectives, policies, and procedures of Tenet Physician Resources.

Adheres to the Tenet HIPAA Compliance Plan and the Privacy Standards Confidentiality Agreement.

Demonstrates support for the Tenet Corporate Compliance Program by being knowledgeable of compliance responsibilities as expressed in the Code of Conduct; adhering to federal and state laws, rules, regulations, and corporate policies that affect this job; and reporting compliance issues or concerns in a timely and appropriate manner.

Greet patients entering the physician practice.

Answer office phones, make appointments, confirm appointments, and reschedule when necessary.

Check in patients and collect accurate patient demographics, enter data into the electronic system, and verify insurance.

Assist in checking out patients and with referral processing and scheduling.

Collect co‑pays and post charges; entry and patient balance processing.

Distribute information to patients regarding office policies, procedures, and the practice.

Explain and enroll patients in the patient portal.

Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or GED required; completion of a medical office assistant program preferred.

Certification: Preferable healthcare management or administration certification.

Experience: Two years of customer service experience, preferably in a medical office setting.
