
Financial Analyst

Position Overview: This role supports operational needs for Employee Benefits incentive compensation plans at OneAmerica Financial. The Financial Analyst will serve as primary back‑up to the Financial Analyst II for expense reporting, accounting, month‑end and year‑end closing processes, as well as other functions as needed.
What You Will Do
Perform various budget, expense management, and accounting functions.
Assist in the close process for the EB LOB, manage monthly variances, accruals, and variance analysis, and consolidate large volumes of data into actionable information.
Design reports to effectively communicate insights to a broad audience, managing large data sets and linking information together.
Redesign and improve current business processes (e.g., PEPM, Premium accounting, GL reconciliation) to drive ownership, accountability, and improved internal controls.
What You Will Need
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field.
2–3 years of experience in Finance or Accounting.
Ability to build strategic relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to solve complex problems and collaborate cross‑functionally to achieve enterprise goals.
Proven experience articulating complex data to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
Or any combination of education and experience that provides an equivalent background.
Salary Band: 04B
Location: The selected candidate will work hybrid in Indianapolis, IN, with physical return to the office in CA, IN, or ME as business needs dictate.
