Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in the Engineering industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for all areas of financial reporting, including year-end financial analysis, reconciliations, and other financial operations. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and play a key role in driving the companys financial performance and growth.
Salary: $90,000 - $105,000 per year
Responsibilities
Lead the month-end and year-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
Perform financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
Conduct complex reconciliations of all general ledger accounts.
Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports, providing clear insights to stakeholders.
Assist with budget preparation and financial planning processes.
Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures.
Proactively identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Collaborate with internal and external auditors during financial and operational audits.
Provide financial expertise and support to other departments within the organization.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and changes in accounting regulations to ensure compliance.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
CPA or equivalent professional accounting designation is preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in the Engineering industry.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
Proficient in financial analysis, year-end processes, and reconciliations.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Advanced proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Proactive, self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Demonstrated leadership skills and experience in managing a team.
