Job Description
As an FPGA Design Engineer, you will join a diverse team and be responsible for research, design, development, and testing of digital hardware products. The role involves digital component design and analysis, modeling and simulation, circuit‑level design, test, and project leadership. You will develop a variety of electronic equipment and systems, including radar and radiation detection, communications, circuitry components, analog and digital computers, and control and test equipment.

The position is full‑time and on‑site in Rolling Meadows, IL.

Basic Qualifications For An FPGA Design Engineer

Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field with a minimum of 2 years of digital electronics design experience, or a Master’s degree in a STEM field.

Digital circuit design experience, including simulation and schematic capture through test and integration.

Hands‑on prototyping and debugging experience testing complex digital subsystems such as FPGA‑based circuit card development and/or embedded processors and high‑speed interfaces.

Demonstrated ability to lead projects with two or fewer team members.

Ability to translate system performance and operational specifications into hardware requirements, design, and test specifications.

Familiarity with documentation revision control and review systems such as DOORS, ClearCase, and ClearQuest.

U.S. citizenship.

Active Secret clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

Advanced degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering with at least 2 years of digital electronics design experience.

Knowledge of Electronic Warfare systems.

Experience in the Aerospace and/or Defense industries.

Recent circuit card design experience using tools such as Cadence Concept, Allegro, Mentor Designer, and Expedition.

Experience with ClearCase/ClearQuest and DOORS. Current Secret or Top‑Secret security clearance.

Proven leadership, mentoring, communication skills across all levels, adaptability, creativity, collaboration, and independent problem‑solving.

Salary
Primary level salary range: $96,300.00 - $144,500.00.
