J&L 1st Helper – 2nd shift ($16 to $19)
Responsible for assisting the operator in a timely manner with a high regard for quality and safety.
This position requires the ability to read a tape measure
This position requires the ability to read English
The individual in this position must be able to work both independently after training and under direct supervision
A sense of urgency is required
Any corrugated or printing experience a plus
HS Diploma or equivalent (GED)
Overtime and some weekends required.
Learn relevant local and company requirements, rules and procedures. Strictly follows rules and guidelines and always uses the right procedure for the job. Promptly reports incidents, near‑misses, and unsafe conditions or processes. SKNA employees regardless of level, position or tenure are responsible for upholding the safety standards regulations and policies.
This position involves the ability to take direction from the machine operator to assist in the setup and running of orders
Mount printing plates and cutting dies
Minor repair of cutting dies and plates
Keep machine area clean and organized
Learn to fill out required paperwork correctly
Report any problems you are unable to fix to your Machine Operator
Perform other tasks as required by Supervisors
To successfully perform the essential functions of this role it requires the ability to: stand for long periods, walk frequently, squat, climb, bend, crouch, push‑pull, carry, work at heights, frequent use of hands (reach with hands and arms), view computer monitor, use radio, speak and listen frequently. Role requires ability to work in environment of excessive heat or cold, walking on uneven surfaces and frequent lifting up to 20 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
