SUMMARY
The Estimator - Technical Support Representative is responsible for preparing accurate price quotations using the company's automated pricing system while serving as a key point of contact for customers and internal teams. This role supports sales and operations by providing technical and estimating assistance, responding to customer inquiries, and ensuring orders are accurately configured and processed. The ideal candidate will have prior customer service experience—preferably within the HVAC or filtration industry—strong analytical and organizational skills, and the ability to communicate clearly and professionally. Full product training is provided. This is a hands‑on, collaborative position offering competitive compensation and opportunities for growth.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare accurate and timely price quotations using the company's automated pricing and estimating systems
Interface directly with customers via phone and email to respond to pricing, product, and order‑related inquiries
Communicate closely with the Production Operations team to ensure estimates align with manufacturing capabilities and lead times
Review customer specifications and requirements to recommend appropriate products and configurations
Verify quotation accuracy, including pricing, quantities, dimensions, lead times, and terms
Enter, track, and update quotation and customer data in internal systems
Support internal sales teams with technical and pricing information as neededMaintain clear and professional written documentation related to quotes, customer communication, and order details
Assist in resolving customer issues related to pricing discrepancies, order changes, or technical questions
Demonstrate a team‑oriented approach while working collaboratively across departments
Participate in product training and stay current on product offerings and system updates
Complete special projects and other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required
Associate degree or coursework in business, engineering, HVAC, or a related field preferred
Experience
2+ years of customer service, estimating, or technical support experience
Prior experience in HVAC, filtration, manufacturing, or a related technical industry strongly preferred
Skills & Abilities
Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Friendly, professional, and customer‑focused demeanor
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
Working familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel
Comfortable learning and using automated pricing and ERP systems
Strong problem‑solving and critical‑thinking skills
Ability to effectively communicate technical information to customers and internal teams
Team‑oriented mindset with the ability to work independently when required
WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to office, warehouse, and plant environments. The work environment will require the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) in certain areas. Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.
