SUMMARY
We are looking for a dynamic Quality professional to join our Crystal Lake manufacturing facility. In this role, you will report directly to the Plant Manager – Crystal Lake. As the Quality Manager, you will develop and maintain an integrated quality system that conforms to ISO 9001:2000, oversee all quality activities of the facility, develop training programs and activities to monitor and improve quality of products and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to drive operational excellence in quality initiatives, processes, and practices and use strong project and change‑management skills.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage and supervise the Quality department and quality programs, including performance management and hiring.

Work to improve the quality of outgoing products.

Work to improve communication of customer requirements, resolve customer concerns, and promote quality throughout the organization.

Work closely to improve/maintain the quality of raw materials and products.

Maintain relationships with vendors and contractors to ensure quality products and resolve quality issues.

Maintain relationships with registrars and auditors to obtain and maintain certifications.

Serve as ISO management representative.

Maintain a quality program conforming to ISO 9001:2015 standards.

Oversee the corrective action process.

Train and promote quality throughout the organization.

Lead quality improvement projects.

Oversee internal auditing.

Complete special projects and other duties as assigned. This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management deems necessary.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s Degree in a related or relevant field preferred, or 5‑7 years experience.

At least 5 years of progressive Quality Management experience in a manufacturing environment.

Solid working knowledge of ISO 9001 standards.

Geometry and statistics skills required.

Strong knowledge of and extensive experience with ERP tools and principles.

Ability to partner with internal and external customers.

Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.

Strong continuous improvement mindset and understanding of Lean principles.

Ability to read and interpret safety rules, shop orders, product specifications, contract reviews, blueprints, and drawings.

Ability to write routine reports.

Exceptional project management skills, including creation of action plans, timelines, and management of multiple programs simultaneously.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Excellent understanding of strategic and operational planning.

Proven ability to solve complex problems.

Self‑starting with a desire to own and drive outcomes and excellent time‑management skills.

Collaborative, entrepreneurial, and flexible professional approach.

Excellent communication skills and ability to advise and influence at all organizational levels.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to office, warehouse, and plant environments. The work environment requires the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) in certain areas and access to all departments of the facility.
