
Product Demonstrator Part Time
CROSSMARK, Bismarck, ND, United States
The Associate is responsible for completing in-store food and non‑food demonstrations. The Associate acquires and maintains knowledge of the products represented, prepares, serves, and breaks down products, equipment, and supplies. The Associate intercepts consumers and demonstrates products in a professional manner, maintaining a consistent professional appearance that meets job requirements.
Responsibilities
Have the aptitude and ability to gain adequate product knowledge.
Proactively intercept, engage, interact, and sell products to consumers in a positive manner.
Effectively communicate product features and benefits.
Prepare and serve food samples using small appliances such as microwaves, fryers, skillets, coffee makers, and knives.
Maintain a clean, sterile, and safe workstation using cleaning chemicals.
Properly set up and prepare the event table for execution.
Achieve 100% execution on assigned work.
Assist with preparation for client visits and complete audit corrections.
Build and maintain rapport with store personnel to effectively meet company and client objectives.
Complete expense reports in accordance with Company Policy.
Accurately prepare and submit all online requirements on the same day as event execution.
Access the internet, navigate company electronic systems, use Microsoft Outlook, and view assigned documents including Microsoft Word and Adobe PDF forms.
Qualifications
Education/Experience:
High school diploma or GED, or one to three months’ related experience and/or training preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Computer Skills:
Proficient in using and navigating a personal computer or mobile device with applications and internal systems.
Local food handler permit may be required.
Physical Demands
The associate will be regularly required to stand and walk during the shift, use hands and fingers to handle or feel items, reach with hands and arms (including overhead to 65 inches), talk and hear, have visual ability to read instructions and perform events, stoop, kneel, squat, climb or step up a ladder, balance, lift and carry up to 25 pounds (occasionally up to 50 pounds), push and pull a wheeled demonstration cart fully laden with appliances, supplies and product, prepare foods and beverages using required appliances (cooking utensils, knives, convection oven, coffee maker, electric fryer, microwave), and be in contact with cleaning supplies.
Supervisory Responsibilities
None.
Work Environment
Retail store environment with limited travel.
Physical Appearance
Individuals must maintain a professional appearance and proper grooming. The Associate must present a neat, clean, and appropriately groomed appearance. Specific retailer dress code requirements are included in the training documents.
Language Skills
