- Locum tenens opportunity
- Estimated start: ASAP
- Ongoing need; schedule TBD
- Coverage need: 10 consecutive days per month
- Typical schedule example:
- Saturday 7:00 AM - Tuesday 7:00 AM (following week)
- Alternative: Friday 7:00 AM - Monday (following week)
- Monday-Friday:
- 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM: clinic, rounding, consults, OR
- 4:30 PM - 8:00 AM: call coverage
- Weekend coverage:
- 24-hour call (8 AM - 8 AM)
- Facility: 400-bed hospital ( 300 beds in use), Level III Trauma Center
- Practice setting: hospital + outpatient clinics (Hollidaysburg + 1 day/week in Bedford)
- EMR: Epic
- Work independently; APP support typically available in clinic
- Call type: in-house; 30-minute response time
- Patient volume:
- 20 outpatient visits per day
- 3 consults per day
- Weekend: 2-4 trauma/ER consults
- Patient mix: 70% adult / 30% pediatric
- Outpatient clinic visits
- Inpatient rounding and consults
- Surgical cases in the OR
- Trauma call coverage
- Emergency airway management
- Sinus disease
- Tonsils/adenoids
- Ear infections
- Thyroid disorders
- Vertigo
- Hearing loss
- Laryngeal lesions and voice disorders
- Epistaxis
- Cerumen removal
- Tracheostomy management
- Endoscopic sinus surgery
- Tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy (T&A)
- Bilateral myringotomy tubes (BMT)
- Thyroidectomy
- Microlaryngoscopy with biopsy (MDL)
- Tracheostomy
- Septoplasty/turbinectomy
- Foreign body removal
- Nasal cautery
- Facial fracture repair
- ORIF of facial fractures
- Mandible arch bars
- Soft tissue repair
- Facial plating required
- 12-15 surgeries per week during coverage
- 12-15 maxillofacial trauma cases annually
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in ENT
- Minimum 5 years of experience
- Active Pennsylvania medical license required
- IMLC candidates accepted (preference for active PA license)
- DEA, ACLS, BLS required
- Must be able to:
- Perform tracheotomy
- Manage oral/maxillofacial trauma and facial repairs
- Work 10 consecutive days monthly (Saturday-Tuesday following week)
- Standard hospital credentialing
- Reason for need: growth
- Audiology handled by separate consultants
- 400-bed hospital (approx. 300 beds in use)
- Level III Trauma Center
- Established ENT service line with APP support
