Sr. Payroll Assistant

As part of our payroll team, you'll be at the heart of keeping things running smoothly, handling payroll functions, assisting employees with payroll-related inquiries, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Position Responsibilities:
Process, balance and distribute payrolls for assigned divisions
Prepare, verify, and process journal entries and related General Ledger account reconciliations
Prepare any required vouchers or wires
Record taxable fringe benefits, process adjustment payrolls, and balance W-2's
Serve as back-up for other payroll department team members when required
Position Requirements:
Knowledge of accounting principles, record keeping and filing systems
Proficient in Word and Excel
Minimum 2 years' experience with ADP Vantage payroll system preferred
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail a must.
Ability to set priorities, multi-task and meet deadlines
Ability to handle information in a confidential manner required
Must be professional and possess excellent customer service skills
Ability to work independently as well as a team environment
