Position Overview
As the Staff Development Coordinator, you will lead all aspects of staff education, orientation, and ongoing training. You will play a critical role in ensuring new hires are set up for success and current staff maintain competency and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and lead new hire orientation for nursing staff
Provide ongoing education, skills training, and competency validation
Track and maintain all required certifications and in-service records
Develop and implement training programs based on facility needs
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company training requirements
Partner with nursing leadership to support performance improvement initiatives
Assist with survey preparedness related to education and competencies
Qualifications
Active, unencumbered RN license in North Carolina
Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred
Previous experience in staff education, training, or leadership preferred
Strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with staff development or infection control
Familiarity with CMS regulations and survey process
