Quality Administrator - Industrial Construction Project Site

Overview

The Quality Administrator will report to the site Quality Manager or Sr. Quality Field Operations Manager as applicable, and indirectly to the Sr. Manager of Quality Control. The role involves collecting all documentation related to demonstrating conformance of requirements to project specifications. Knowledge of material traceability, discipline inspection requirements, and the Construction documentation turnover process is required.
Travel

Travel required up to 100%. Position requires presence directly on the Project Site location in Boise, ID.
Responsibilities

Compile records progressively throughout the project in digital format
Update isometric drawings with symbols, welder identifications, dates, Nondestructive Examination (NDE) report identification, etc., in digital format using pdf mark-up software
Organize inspection records to ensure they are traceable to their locations in the field
Review all inspection documentation for accuracy and integrity
Match NDE and Material Test Records (MTRs) to applicable welding and traceability documents
Maintain all Quality and Inspection logs, including but not limited to project Weld Logs
Review calibration documentation to ensure conformance of records to inspection requirements
Coach and mentor personnel on the completeness and accuracy of documentation
Work within multiple platforms to organize digital records
Perform frequent audits of documentation to verify compliance with project requirements
Compile, when required, in an organized and neat fashion, paper records for project turnover
Maintain a professional attitude and appearance
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications

Minimum of 1 year of experience in a QA/QC role. Education towards an engineering or technical degree may be substituted in lieu of required work experience.
Minimum of 3 years required in a construction environment.
Experience with P&IDs and system break downs as they pertain to system turnover packages
Extreme proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word, SharePoint, Teams, and Power Point
Prior experience with weld mapping, flange mapping, and traceability requirements on Industrial or Oil and Gas projects
Demonstrated experience with construction management software platforms
Proven capabilities with Bluebeam Revu required
Preferred experience with Smartsheet and InEight software
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Required

Be knowledgeable of MIC Health and Safety programs and project specific regulations.
General understanding of construction inspection requirements within an Industrial project setting
Familiarity with various types of drawings, plans, and details
Ability to read and interpret Nondestructive examination reports, weld maps, Material Test Reports (MTRs), torque reports, concrete and civil inspection reports, and other inspection records as required to determine conformance of the work
Exceptional organizational skills and ability to present work, both digitally and in physical copies, in a professional and workmanship type manner
Knowledge of document management processes and procedures
Ability to focus and pay attention to minor detail when assembling turnover records
Abilities to maintain focus for extended periods of time reviewing accuracy and legibility of documentation
Must be capable of reading and understanding material requirements listed on MTRs and Bill of Materials (BOMs)
Familiar with reading and interpreting isometric drawings
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills

Stamina to perform this task repetitively and continuously for several hour intervals
Uncontrolled environmental conditions: Constant change in weather and site conditions
This work environment may involve moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors and/or loud noises
Ability to wear personal protective equipment is required (safety toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, hardhat, vest, etc.)
Move in and around confined, cluttered, and uneven areas
May need to work at heights and must be able to abide by all safety and fall-protection requirements; must be able to wear and utilize all safety equipment required for work at heights
Evaluate information based on measurable standards; and see details in objects or drawings and recognize slight differences in shapes and shadings
Visualize objects in three dimensions from drawings
Keep good balance and work at heights
