Mechanical Design Engineer Staff - Skunkworks | Lockheed Martin You will be the Mechanical Design Engineer Staff - Skunkworks for the Skunkworks team which is responsible for delivering cutting-edge mechanical solutions for advanced aerospace systems.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Mechanical Design Engineer Staff - Skunkworks you will be responsible for turning complex concepts into flight-qualified hardware that enables next-generation missions.
Your responsibilities will include:
Designing electromagnetic and RF components, including antennas and radomes, to meet stringent performance criteria.
Developing support structures and composite/metallic components for high-stress, flight-qualified hardware.
Creating full-scale RCS/RF test fixtures and ensuring they are calibrated for accurate data collection.
Integrating mechanical designs with classified projects and providing technical support throughout the development lifecycle.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to validate designs against system requirements and launch schedules.

- Experience with mechanical design of Electromagnetic/RF components, electrical packaging, power system layout, and circuit board design. - General knowledge in fundamental EM theories - Experience in design for additive manufacturing - Experience managing various programmatics of projects (schedule, costs, procurement activity)
