About the Role
Davis Pet Hospital in Collinsville, IL is adding another veterinarian to our AAHA‑accredited practice! Our team currently consists of 5 veterinarians and 4 CVT's and 3 CVT's in training. The technicians are highly competent and well utilized for monitoring anesthesia, catheter placement, radiographs, blood draws and more. We are a cohesive, compassionate team that encourages best practice and supports each other.
We welcome doctors of all experience levels – new graduates may be mentored and new hires will enjoy a steady and versatile caseload.
For doctors with a surgical interest, our surgical caseload includes:
Routine soft tissue
Simple fracture repair
Emergency surgery (c‑section, pyometra, foreign body)
Cruciate repairs
Splenectomies
Cystotomies and more

Collinsville is located in Southern Illinois, just outside of St. Louis. The town is known for a water tower painted to resemble a ketchup bottle, historical sites, festivals, a diverse culinary scene, and breweries.
Essential Responsibilities
Examine and treat companion animals
Operate diagnostic equipment, collect samples, and interpret results
Advise pet owners on preventive care and treatment options
Perform surgery and prescribe medication as needed
Provide counsel on pet end‑of‑life care
Maintain patients' medical records
Ensure compliance with veterinary ethics and relevant statutes, policies, and procedures
Requirements/Qualifications
DVM/VMD degree from an accredited AVMA institution
Appropriate state licensure
Eligibility to obtain DEA/BNDD
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Professional and courteous presentation
Ability to lift patients and carry equipment up to 25 pounds, or with assistance for heavier loads
