Material Control Specialist I

The Material Control Specialist I is responsible for organizing, monitoring, and ensuring the accuracy and importation of Engineering & Supplier data into the Material Management System (MMS). They perform duties that directly support the Lead Material Control Specialists and Material Control Managers. Material Control Specialist 1's are assigned to one or more small, mid, or large cap projects.
Responsibilities

Curate Engineering and or Procurement data by assigning proper coding that align to company established standards to each component and upload into the Bills of Material and or Purchase Order
Assist with running reports, data exchange meetings with JV Partners (for joint venture projects) and other project related meetings
Work with awarded suppliers to explain requirements of the Electronic Material list (EML)
Support project or projects assigned, including but not limited to; project site visits or temporary assignments at the project site
Generate requisitions based on Engineering data and assign/submit to Procurement Coordinator within MMS
Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED
Strong analytical skills working structured & unstructured datasets
Ability to reason & problem solve
Experience in Microsoft Excel
Physical Requirements:
Employee will be required to communicate in person, via telephone, email, video chat and software systems. Must be able to maneuver around a construction site with rough terrain. Climbing might be required. Must be able to lift 10 lbs. Position may include visits to construction sites and industrial facilities requiring mobility (on ground and at heights) and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to: hardhat, safety glasses/goggles, ear plugs/muffs, masks/respirators, safety vests, gloves and work boots.
Work Environment:
Employee will work in multiple environments including an office, warehouse and in a trailer or building on construction sites. On construction sites, noise levels will be moderate to high. Job sites may contain the following: light to heavy equipment vehicles, small to large equipment, materials, communication equipment and tools, people standing, walking, sitting, signaling, and talking. Noise levels vary and may include bells, whistles, and alarms.
