Shop Manager
We are seeking an experienced Shop Manager with a strong background in pipe fabrication to lead a high-performing production team. This role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day shop operations, driving productivity, and ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety.
This is a hands-on leadership position ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced fabrication environment and has a proven track record of managing large teams and optimizing shop performance.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage a pipe fabrication shop with 30+ employees in a production environment
Oversee daily shop operations, including workflow, scheduling, and production output
Review drawings and ensure proper execution of fabrication processes
Coordinate closely with Project Managers, Operations, and Scheduling teams to meet project timelines
Drive continuous improvements in quality, safety, and productivity
Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and company safety programs
Manage material staging, shop layout, and resource allocation to maximize efficiency
Develop, mentor, and hold team members accountable to performance expectations
Required Qualifications
Extensive experience in pipe fabrication (industrial, mechanical, or process piping required)
Proven leadership experience managing teams of 30+ in a shop/production environment
Background as a Shop Manager, Superintendent, Foreman, or similar hands-on leadership role
Strong understanding of fabrication processes, shop workflow, and production oversight
Experience with drawing reviews, production scheduling, and material coordination
Solid knowledge of safety standards and OSHA compliance
Demonstrated success improving team performance, productivity, and operational efficiency
