
Pre-Series Specialist

The Pre-Series Specialist position is a critical leadership role within Material Logistics Management (MLM). It is a corporate-based position with a focus on building an understanding of Stellantis processes and systems to ensure timely material availability for pre-production builds. The successful candidate will use their inventory management skills to work closely with the supply base and various other functional areas (Purchasing, Engineering, Supplier Quality, Plant Scheduling/Specifications/Follow-up) to root cause delays; prioritize; report; escalate; and resolve supply issues in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment.
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to ensure program timing milestones and deliverables related to pilot part availability are met; root cause constrained part supply issues and drive resolution; escalate delays; interact daily with supply base on part availability timing and low cost shipping; lead critical part discussions with engineering, supplier quality, purchasing and suppliers; and prepare and report pilot part delivery status to senior level management.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business or a related field
Ability to work any shift and overtime as required
Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
Excellent oral and written communication skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite
Public Speaking Skills
Preferred Qualifications
18 Months experience in prior Manufacturing or Supervisory role
Previous experience working in a union environment
Ability to demonstrate lean manufacturing knowledge and application
