Job Description
Abstracts regulatory agency required data using concurrent and retrospective methods. Analyzes data for trends and patterns to support performance improvement initiatives. Intervenes with clinical staff to meet compliance requirements and resolve barriers. Reviews medical records for adherence to standards and elements of performance. Completes reports effectively and efficiently within established timeframes. Adheres to the timeframes for regulatory agency data submission and alerts Department Leader or designee of any issues. Maintains reports to summarize key issues as a resource for performance improvement. Collaborates with healthcare teams to ensure accurate and comprehensive documentation. Supports evidence-based practices through diligent analysis and feedback. Contributes to enhancing the quality of patient care through data integrity and reporting. Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ability to review medical records and abstract information accurately. [Required]
Ability to collaborate and facilitate improvement. [Required]
Ability to apply performance improvement methodologies. [Required]
Working knowledge and experience in Cerner applications [Preferred]
Education
Associate's of Nursing [Required]
Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred]
Licenses And Certifications
Registered Nurse (RN) [Required]
Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
