Supply Chain Planning Manager
Blue Signal Search, Marietta, GA, United States
A growing manufacturing organization is seeking a Supply Chain Planning Manager to bring stronger visibility, discipline, and execution to a multi-site materials environment. This is a high impact leadership role for someone who enjoys building structure, solving supply challenges before they disrupt production, and turning planning data into smarter business decisions. You will help shape how raw materials move through the operation, improve inventory health, and strengthen alignment across procurement, planning, and manufacturing.
What You Will Do
Lead the material planning function to keep raw material supply aligned with production demand and inventory objectives across multiple locations.
Guide day to day planning activity, including MRP driven actions, purchasing priorities, and inventory decisions that support reliable operations.
Monitor inventory performance, stock positioning, and material flow, then take action to improve accuracy, availability, and working capital results.
Partner closely with procurement, operations, supply planning, and plant stakeholders to surface risks early and keep production plans on track.
Review planning and inventory KPIs, identify root causes, and drive corrective actions that improve service, responsiveness, and execution.
Manage aging, excess, or at risk materials with urgency to reduce waste, write offs, and supply disruption.
Support sales and operations planning activities by providing clear visibility into material readiness, constraints, and potential gaps.
Build stronger planning processes through standardized routines, practical governance, and clear team accountability.
Coach and develop team members while creating an environment focused on ownership, continuous improvement, and collaboration.
Strengthen planning accuracy through better use of data, system discipline, and improved master data practices.
What Success Looks Like
Materials are available when needed to support production commitments.
Inventory performance improves without sacrificing service or operational stability.
Planning risks are identified early and addressed with practical solutions.
Teams across procurement, planning, and operations work from a more consistent and reliable process.
Long term improvements create measurable gains in efficiency, inventory health, and execution.
What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Operations, Business, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
Approximately 5 to 10 years of experience in material planning, purchasing, inventory management, or a related manufacturing environment.
Prior leadership experience with the ability to guide teams and influence cross functional partners.
Strong knowledge of ERP and MRP based planning processes, ideally in SAP, IFS, or similar platforms.
Experience using KPIs, root cause analysis, and process improvement methods to drive better outcomes.
Advanced Excel skills and comfort working with planning data to support decision making.
Strong communication, judgment, and problem solving skills in a fast-moving environment.
Why Candidates Are Interested
Opportunity to lead a meaningful planning function with visibility across multiple sites.
High ownership role with direct impact on service, inventory, and operational performance.
