Location: Hybrid
Schedule: Monday Friday 8-5
Salary range: $18.28 - $22.86 depending on experience
What work will you perform?
Coordinate daily administrative responsibilities to include solicitations, rates, and handling business with the government. Respond to inquiries that arise regarding these responsibilities. Work with multiple parties, both internally and externally primarily agents and the government, to ensure smooth operations. Must be able to obtain a security clearance.
Essential Responsibilities:
Analyze complex solicitations to determine customer requirements and assign to qualified and appropriate agent(s)
Analyze rates and service offerings to ensure completeness, competitiveness, accuracy, consistency, ability to meet shipper requirements, and compliance with government rules and regulations
Compile and review historical data to determine "agent of record", agent effectiveness, and assist with rate evaluation and strategy
Collaborate with applicable agents on rate changes; when conflicts occur, mediate for consensus or best solution
Analyze options and determine best method for offering rates and services (e.g. tender format, or contract language) and submit to government customers
Complete and return solicitation packages to government customers within established deadlines
Setup and maintain files, logs and indexes on all contracts and solicitations, as well as all government approved agents' contact information, for administrative requirements
Provide information, assistance, and favorably represent Landstar with government/external customers
Calculate and distribute weekly government fuel surcharges, as well as other required reports
Other duties as assigned
Required Minimum Experience and Education:
Associate's degree or equivalent experience
1 year experience in Transportation/Logistics
Preferred Experience and Education:
1 year experience in Government Logistics
Active Security Clearance
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of Tools
Data entry
Ability to work in a fast pace environment
Good organization and prioritization
Calculate figures and amounts, as well as analyze
Excellent customer service skills
