
Application Engineer

Primary Responsibilities
Communicate with Field Sales, Customer(s), and factories effectively
Demonstrates an understanding of the application, the OEMs, customer visits, etc.
Develop industry experience (periodicals, internet research, conference participation, site visits, etc.)
Lead and take ownership of the quotation/opportunity by requesting feedback from Sales or directly from customers, when appropriate
Compile an accurate quotation to customers of WEG’s offering
Follow minimum pricing guidelines as established by management
Identify opportunities to management when alternate pricing is needed
Accurately receive and review Purchase Order (as needed)
Generate order entry material
Organize all quotation/order documentation electronically and hard copies (if needed)
Assist Project Coordinator / Manager technically or commercially as needed
Education
Bachelor’s degree from a four‑year college or university or university program certificate, or 2 to 4 years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Knowledge / Training
Proven capabilities in the Electric Machines industry in roles related to Application Engineering
Technical experience and knowledge of electrical machines and their applications
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint, as well as Outlook
Experience
1 to 3 years’ experience as Application Engineer in Electric Machines industry or relevant business experience
