The Operations Manager oversees daily chemical handling, packaging, and production operations, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency. Manages inventory and production flow, and drives continuous improvement initiatives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Requirements
Operations Management Experience
5+ years of operations management experience in manufacturing, chemical, or industrial environments
Experience with chemical handling, packaging, or similar processes
Strong background in optimizing production and improving efficiency
Experience working with hazardous or flammable materials
Chemical Industry Knowledge
Knowledge of chemical safety standards and regulations (OSHA, DOT, EPA, FDA)
Experience with hazardous materials handling and packaging methods
Leadership & Team Management
Experience managing teams of 30–40 employees
Strong leadership, training, and team development skills
Ability to collaborate cross-functionally
Process Improvement
Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies
Ability to identify inefficiencies and implement improvements
Technical & Systems
Experience with ERP systems (e.g., D365) and inventory management tools
Knowledge of manufacturing and packaging equipment
Data & Communication
Ability to analyze data, track KPIs, and present reports
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field
