Cardiology - Noninvasive Physician

A healthcare facility in Petoskey, Michigan is seeking a Board-Certified General (Non-Invasive) Cardiologist to provide comprehensive inpatient cardiac care. This opportunity offers structured 24-hour call coverage with strong Advanced Practice Provider (APP) support and a manageable patient volume in a collaborative hospital setting.

• May 4 (6am) - May 7 (6am)
• June 15 (6am) - June 22 (6am)
• July 31 (6am) - August 7 (6pm)
• August 10 (6am) - August 17 (6am)
• August 28 (6am) - September 4 (6pm)

Schedule: 24-hour inpatient coverage and call (6:00 AM - 6:00 AM)Setting: Inpatient only (no clinic responsibilities)

• Inpatient-only non-invasive cardiology role
• Structured 24-hour call coverage

• No outpatient clinic responsibilities
• Drive-in candidates only, promoting regional continuity of care

• Shift: 24-hour call (6:00 AM - 6:00 AM)
• Coverage Type: Sunday through Saturday blocks
• Practice Setting: Hospital-based inpatient cardiology
• Clinic Responsibilities: None

Patient Population: Adult and geriatric patients

Responsibilities Include:

• Providing inpatient cardiology consultations and management
• Responding to cardiac-related call responsibilities
• Interpreting diagnostic cardiac studies
• Collaborating with APPs and multidisciplinary care teams
• Ensuring timely and accurate documentation in the EMR

• Echocardiography interpretation
• Treadmill stress test interpretation
• Pharmacologic (chemical) stress test interpretation
• Comprehensive non-invasive cardiac evaluation and management

Support Staff:

• Three (3) inpatient Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) assisting with patient care

Technology:

• EMR: Cerner

• Board Certified in Cardiology - Required
• Active Michigan Medical License - Required
• Must reside in Michigan or within driving distance (drive-in candidates only) - Required
• Proficiency in interpreting echocardiograms and stress tests - Required

• Collaborative inpatient cardiology program
• Strong APP and multidisciplinary team support
• Focus on delivering high-quality, patient-centered cardiac care
