
Business Development Manager

Position Overview
We are hiring a Business Development Manager to take ownership of a defined geographic territory and drive growth through new business development and expansion of existing customer relationships.
This role is ideal for a motivated B2B salesperson with 2+ years of territory sales experience who enjoys full-cycle selling, is comfortable with cold calling, and wants a high-upside opportunity in a stable, relationship-driven industry.
You’ll sell a full portfolio of new and used equipment , warehouse systems , aftermarket service , and rental solutions , while building long-term partnerships with customers in manufacturing, warehousing, and distribution.
Day to Day Responsibilities
Territory Ownership
Own and manage a defined sales territory with responsibility for revenue growth
Plan and execute daily sales activity including prospecting, site visits, and follow-ups
New Business Development (Hunting)
Prospect new accounts through cold calling, walk-ins, referrals, and networking
Identify customer needs and position equipment and service solutions
Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline
Account Management & Growth
Manage and grow existing customer accounts
Increase wallet share through additional equipment, service, systems, and rentals
Develop long-term relationships as a trusted advisor
Sell new forklifts and material handling equipment
Used equipment
Warehouse and fleet systems (targeting ~20% gross profit)
Aftermarket service contracts and parts
Short- and long-term equipment rentals
Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to close
Conduct on-site customer meetings and equipment demos
Collaborate with internal service, operations, and leadership teams
Maintain accurate CRM activity, forecasting, and territory reporting
