About The Job:
Is responsible for converting physical patient charts into digital Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems. This role ensures that all historical paper documentation is accurately digitized, indexed, and organized for easy retrieval by healthcare providers while maintaining strict compliance with privacy laws.
Hours:
Hours are Flexible with being a PRN Position.
Shift:
Sunday through Saturday.
Pay:
$19.00, increases with experience.
Position Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent is typically required.
Attention to Detail: Exceptional precision is necessary to catch missing pages or indexing errors.
Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner) and standard office equipment like high‑volume scanners.
Medical Terminology: Basic understanding of clinical terms to properly categorize documents (e.g., distinguishing between a discharge summary and a lab report).
Organization: Ability to manage large backlogs of paperwork and maintain a systematic workflow.
Physical Stamina: Capability to sit for long periods and occasionally lift boxes of records (often up to 25–50 lbs).
Special Skills, Competencies, and Aptitudes:
Familiarity with computer applications in healthcare.
Demonstrated ability to work with a variety of people of diverse backgrounds.
