Description
Outlet Operational Responsibilities
Partner with the Restaurant General Manager on all aspects of daily food and beverage operations, assuming full operational leadership as needed
Assist in the training and ongoing development of all food service and bar staff, with direct responsibility for individually onboarding new servers, host staff, and assistant servers
Support production of weekly schedules for 28 Atlantic and Thoreau's
Maintain oversight of the dining reservations system (OpenTable), ensuring accuracy and a seamless guest booking experience
Assist with supervision of Private Dining Room events and coordinate outlet closings with fellow F&B managers
Attend daily BEO meetings and periodic all-staff meetings; communicate relevant updates to the team
Supervise bar operations and uphold beverage control standards
Assist with administrative responsibilities including menu updates and POS system maintenance
Manage supply ordering and inventory in coordination with the General Manager; oversee flatware, glassware, linen, and china inventories to protect resort assets
Support hiring efforts and participate in candidate selection when applicable
Enforce staff disciplinary standards in accordance with Wequassett Resort guidelines
Lead and assist with pre-meal meetings; serve as an active listener and resource for staff
Drive revenue performance through upselling training and staff incentive initiatives
Conduct staff performance reviews in partnership with the Restaurant General Manager
Guest Relations Responsibilities
Serve as a departmental leader for the resort's Service Committee
Establish and maintain outlet procedures for all special occasions and milestone celebrations
Coordinate with the Executive Office to ensure VIP reservations receive appropriate attention and personalization
Champion the resort's Heroic Acts philosophy — actively recognizing team contributions and cultivating a culture of proactive, memorable guest service
Develop new and creative Heroic Acts specific to the 28 Atlantic guest experience
Support the development of a pre-arrival program for special occasions at 28 Atlantic
Qualifications
3–5 years of progressive food and beverage management experience, preferably in a luxury or Forbes-rated environment
Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop a high-performing service team
Strong working knowledge of OpenTable, POS systems, and beverage operations
Exceptional interpersonal skills with a genuine commitment to guest satisfaction
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, seasonal environment with a high standard of excellence
Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by resort operations
Salary Range: $58,000 - $68,000
