
Site Safety Health Officer

Overview
Execute a Corporate worksite Health & Safety program at assigned facility and develop and administer site-specific Health & Safety programs, consistent with established Company policies and in accordance with applicable regulations and standards. Train workforce on safety procedures and requirements. Ensure all elements of contract safety requirements are being followed and adopted. Reports to Site Level Program Manager.
Primary Job Functions
Designation, assignment, coordination, and monitoring of alternate designated representatives and competent persons as required by the contract.
Review and approval of Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs), especially for work performed outside normal duty hours.
Collection and maintenance of certified EMR ratings for all subcontractors; these must be made available to the Government upon request.
Calculation of DART rates and maintenance of self-certified OSHA DART rates for all subcontractors; these must also be provided to the Government upon request.
Dual-hatted role as Quality Control Officer, which includes conducting quality control inspections on all systems, general tasks, and specific tasks outlined in the contract.
Performing quality control inspections and addressing repair issues related to minor construction, emergency maintenance, and scheduled/unscheduled maintenance activities.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Education, Experience And Certification
Possess a current OSHA 30-hour Construction or General Industry training certificate (or equivalent training card/certificate).
Demonstrate ongoing professional competency through a minimum of eight (8) hours of formal safety and health-related training per year.
Have a minimum of five (5) years of continuous safety experience supervising or managing safety programs in general industry, construction, and/or Operations & Maintenance (O&M) environments. This experience must include managing safety programs and processes, conduct hazard analyses, and develop appropriate controls.
Hold a current EM 385-1-1 40-hour training certificate.
Be available and present on-site during the facility’s normal duty hours (6:00 AM to 3:00 AM) and serve as the primary point of contact for the contractor’s safety management program.
Be responsible for all aspects of the management, administration, and implementation of the site safety and health program.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of software
Must be able to read, write and speak English
Excellent communication skills; ability to convey information effectively in writing and in presentations or speeches to other employees.
Familiarity with environmental, Health and Safety regulations and standards

The base salary range for this position is $60,000- $70,000.
