Classification Summary: Incumbents are responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating an assigned department or program. Responsibilities may include determining curriculum changes to meet accreditation standards; performing budget planning for the department; preparing and coordinating accreditation reports and site visits; preparing departmental action plans, enhancement grant proposals, and annual reports; recruiting, training, and performing supervisory duties over department staff; and advising, registering, and instructing students within assigned program(s).
Minimum Education and/or Training and Experience
Bachelor’s degree, plus EMT license, and five years of related experience.

Certification as required by program.
Classification Duties
Supervise staff, including prioritizing and assigning work; conducting performance evaluations; ensuring staff are trained; ensuring that employees follow policies and procedures; maintaining a healthy and safe working environment; and, making hiring, termination, and disciplinary recommendations. (D6)
Manage budgets and grants to ensure compliance with District policies, regulations, and procedures. (D6)
Seek and manage collaborative efforts with business and industry, community agencies, community organizations, educational institutions, internal departments, and/or other interested parties. (D6)
Recruit advisory committee members to meet and advise college on curriculum and program issues. (C4)
Prepare, review, submit, and respond to requested federal, state, and institutional reports. (C4)
Provide faculty and staff training and support regarding report data submission. (C4)
Perform other related duties of a comparable level/type as assigned.
Position Duties
Manage and serve as the primary liaison for third-party accreditation and regulatory bodies; ensure ongoing compliance with applicable standards and requirements, including preparation, submission, and coordination of accreditation reports, documentation, and site visits.
Teach one (1) course per academic year in an assigned discipline or program area, consistent with institutional needs and accreditation or credentialing requirements.

Wage/Salary Minimum of $73,798 annually.
