Executive Chef – Authentic Italian Cuisine
Westport, Connecticut
Key Responsibilities
Oversee all kitchen operations including menu development, costing, ordering, and execution
Develop and execute authentic Italian dishes rooted in regional traditions
Lead, train, and mentor a high-performing culinary team
Maintain food safety, sanitation, and quality control standards
Manage labor costs, food costs, and overall kitchen financial performance
Collaborate with ownership and management on seasonal features and strategic initiatives
Qualifications
5+ years of Executive Chef or Senior Chef de Cuisine experience in an Italian restaurant concept
Strong knowledge of traditional Italian techniques, including fresh pasta, sauces, seafood, and wood‑fired cooking
Proven leadership and staff development experience
Experience managing inventory, P&L accountability, and cost controls
Ability to perform in a fast‑paced, high‑expectation environment
