Job Overview
Responsible for cleaning the distribution center (75% of duties). Perform routine cleaning including vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors; dusting, washing walls, doors, and windows, and emptying trash. Perform minor preventative maintenance and minor repairs. Assist service personnel as needed. Report major repair and maintenance needs. Assist with snow removals.

Shift/Schedule
Sunday to Thursday 3:00 PM – 12:15 AM (43.75 hours per week)

8755 Keele Street, Concord, Ontario

Job Responsibilities

Cleaning the distribution center (75%) and corporate office (25%)

Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors; dusting, washing walls, doors, and windows, and emptying trash.

Operate floor scrubber

Sweep and vacuum dock plates, sanitation barriers

Empty garbage bins from all locations in the cooler, freezer, loading docks, offices, and break rooms.

Empty cardboard and plastic recycling and compact

Keep all areas free of debris such as wood fragments, pallet wrap, labels, and paper.

Discard leaking product and record on reconditioning log.

Report any violations of company policy to supervisor or coordinator.

Perform duties in accordance with HACCP and SQF policies and procedures, as appropriate for location.

Report major repair and maintenance needs. Assist with snow removal.

Perform other job duties as required.

Qualifications
Experience

Previous cleaning/sanitation experience in a warehouse, food manufacturing, or industrial environment required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Able to work in different temperatures inside the warehouse including dry section, cooler section, and freezer section (–20 °C).

Able to lift up to 50 lbs when required.

Able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and kneel for long periods of time.

Understand safety guidelines.

Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers.

Ability to operate a walkie rider / electric pallet jack to transport and dispose garbage.

Understand procedures in different areas of the warehouse for a more global understanding of all processes.

Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Environment and Demands

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and to stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist, and turn frequently.

Exposed to temperatures ranging from –20 °C below zero to 35 °F in perishable operations and 37 – 90 °F in grocery operations.

Perform repetitive arm, wrist, and hand movements required for maintenance and service procedures.

Must be able to work with hands and arms overhead, and to work in or under equipment.

Requires manual dexterity, overall coordination, and good balance to work both at ground level and in high places to perform job duties.

Ability to operate work‑related equipment.

Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Benefits
Hourly wage of $19.85 per hour plus a shift premium of $0.70 per hour. Health & dental benefits following 90 days of employment.
