Shift Schedule
Tues‑Fri: 4:00 PM – 2:30 AM (then change to Wed‑Sat: 4:00 PM – 2:30 AM). This position will transfer once a new building opens.

Pay
Hourly: $18.00

Job Purpose
The Inventory Control Clerk conducts cycle counts and bin location audits, researches and reconciles inventory discrepancies, and works with the Inventory Supervisor/Manager on inventory‑related functions concerning materials, supplies, tools, equipment, and parts in the stockroom, warehouse, or yard.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Perform physical counts of inventory items to maintain accurate records.

Count and reconcile randomly chosen or selected part numbers and/or locations daily.

Input inventory control data accurately to ensure integrity.

Complete documentation thoroughly, accurately, and on time.

Trace item history to identify reasons for discrepancies and recommend remedial actions.

Assume additional tasks as assigned by supervisor/manager.

Spend 80%+ of the workday performing inventory activities in the warehouse using an RF gun or tablet; ≤20% in computer terminal work.

Travel and assist at other facilities as needed.

Have reliable transportation.

Additional Responsibilities

Read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Write routine reports and correspondence.

Ensure compliance with inventory processes, procedures, and contractual obligations.

Physically count articles or products on shelves, racks, and pallets.

Use computer terminal to account for inventory issues, returns, and documentation.

Qualifications

Minimum 1–3 months related experience/training in Inventory Control.

Minimum 1–3 months experience/training in a warehouse environment.

Experience operating power equipment such as Reach Truck, EPJ, and/or cherry picker/order picker.

Experience using WMS software a plus (Synapse preferred).

PC literacy with experience using Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Access.

Education and Experience Required

High School Diploma or GED.

Ability to read/interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.

Ability to read and write emails.

Ability to physically count articles or products on shelves, racks, and pallets.

Forklift certification a plus.

Language Skills

Effectively communicate, read, write, and speak English.

Read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

Write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

Effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, and customers.

Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.

Reasoning Ability

Solve practical problems and manage variables in situations with limited standardization.

Interpret instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Determine root causes of problems and recommend corrective actions.

Computer Skills
Knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite for writing emails and creating or interpreting reports.

Physical Demands

Occasionally lift or move up to 55 pounds.

Stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as needed.

Speak comfortably in front of others.

Talk, hear, stand, and walk frequently.

Work over 8 hours continuously when required.

Perform under stressful situations with good cognitive skills and task concentration.

Read and discern visual images on various media with 20/20 corrected vision.

Speak and communicate clearly over telephone.

Be in good physical health, with certification from a licensed physician and no evidence of controlled substance use.

Work Environment
Open to occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, or airborne particles; noise level ranges from quiet to moderate.
