Assistant/Associate Professor in Accounting
Job Summary
The Assistant/Associate Professor is expected to provide instruction, advising, curriculum development, program design, and lead research activities including published articles/books.

Duties and Responsibilities

Teach courses as assigned. The minimum teaching load is twenty‑four credit hours annually. Courses are delivered face‑to‑face, online, and hybrid.

Maintain required office hours and provide academic advisement to assigned students.

Participate in the development, review and improvement of curriculum.

Participate in departmental, college‑wide, university‑wide committees and activities.

Serve as faculty advisor for a student organization.

Work collaboratively with other faculty on schedule development, marketing events, student and faculty recruitment, retention efforts, and other departmental or college‑wide activities.

Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Master’s degree in accounting with industry experience and/or CPA, CMA certification.

Considerable professional experience in the discipline at a high managerial or supervisory level.

Commitment to teaching excellence, innovative curriculum development, and academic advising for students in the college.

Willingness to teach at both the main campus and the CSU Dayton location.

Experience and interest in teaching students from diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds.

Ability to use technology in instruction and advising.

Preferred Qualifications

Ph.D. or earned doctorate in a related discipline.

Experience in developing and teaching online courses.

Demonstrated ability to generate grant proposals.

A record of published research in peer‑reviewed journals.

Salary
Commensurate with experience.
