Job Summary
The Senior Supply Planner is responsible for owning how supply flows through the business—ensuring plans are executable. This role operates at the intersection of demand, procurement, and manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
Own the supply, capacity, and inventory plan
Convert demand into executable supply, capacity, and inventory plans across the end-to-end supply chain.
Establish and maintain manufacturing capacity plans aligned with demand requirements.
Maintain accountability for inventory planning across internal manufacturing, procurement, contract manufacturing partners and suppliers.
Continuously adjust plans based on demand shifts, supply disruptions, and changing priorities.
Validate feasibility
Ensure plans are aligned with manufacturing capacity and supplier capabilities.
Identify where plans may fail due to constraints and propose practical, data-driven solutions.
Proactively manage supply risk
Assess risks across suppliers, materials, capacity, and inventory positions.
Identify near‑term risks to builds and service levels.
Drive mitigation actions such as expediting, reallocating supply, or adjusting inventory strategies.
Improve planning systems and processes (including PFEP)
Identify gaps between system outputs and operational reality.
Improve planning logic, data integrity, and usability.
Ensure planning outputs are reliable, actionable, and aligned with execution.
Manage product transitions
Support phase‑ins, phase‑outs, and engineering changes in coordination with procurement and manufacturing partners.
Balance service levels, capacity constraints, and inventory exposure during transitions.
Partner cross‑functionally
Collaborate with procurement, manufacturing, logistics, engineering, sales, and marketing.
Communicate risks, trade‑offs, and priorities clearly to enable decision‑making.
Drive inventory accuracy and continuous improvement
Support cycle counting in production and root cause analysis of discrepancies.
Improve planning workflows and decision‑making processes.
Other duties
Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in supply planning, production planning, or similar roles.
Strong understanding of how supply chains operate in practice.
Experience working with suppliers or contract manufacturers.
Experience using an ERP system such as NetSuite or similar.
Familiarity with Lean manufacturing and pull systems.
Advanced Excel and data analysis skills.
Ability to connect demand, supply, and production into a cohesive plan.
Comfort working in fast‑paced environments with imperfect data.
Strong communication and problem‑solving skills.
Preferred Skills
Experience in consumer products, cosmetics, medical devices, or related industries.
Base Pay
$94,000 - $110,000 per year, with additional bonuses, long‑term incentives, paid time off, and other region‑specific benefits.
