Project Manager – Utility Construction
We’re seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead long-term utility infrastructure projects, including transmission, substations, and grid modernization. This role offers stability, career growth, and the opportunity to manage work that directly supports reliable power for communities.
What You’ll Do
Manage projects from planning through closeout, ensuring safety, schedule, budget, and contract compliance
Serve as the primary liaison between clients, field crews, and subcontractors
Set up projects (safety plans, schedules, budgets, cost controls, billing)
Track financial performance and forecasts; manage change orders
Prepare proposals, estimates, and material takeoffs
Lead project teams and support a strong safety-first culture
What We’re Looking For
5+ years of construction project management experience
Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Experience interpreting construction drawings and contracts
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Preferred:
Utility construction experience (transmission/substation), engineering or construction management degree, estimating and change-order expertise.
Work Environment
Based in
Fort Wayne, IN , this is primarily an office role with occasional site visits (a few times per month), supporting long-term, safety-focused utility projects.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fort Wayne, IN.
Pay And Benefits
The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $60.00/hr.
