
Manager, Process Management - PULSE Governance

The PULSE Product Governance Team is responsible for governing the end‑to‑end product lifecycle, ensuring strong risk management, operational excellence, and transparent decision‑making across the product development activities. We evaluate and refine lifecycle controls, enhance process quality and enable consistent governance for program development on Debit products across the Global Payments Network. As a Manager, Process Risk Management at Capital One you’ll be responsible for working with business partners to ensure adherence with enterprise risks and controls that support the Product Lifecycle.
Responsibilities
Manage a team that serves as an interdepartmental liaison, interfacing with lines of Business, Tech and Risk to provide oversight of and adherence to enterprise standards and controls across the Product Lifecycle.
Oversee management of controls and risk standards through execution, testing, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
Gather data and reporting; perform initial analysis or evaluate data provided by team analysts.
Design and implement internal governance processes.
Build relationships and collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure delivery of commitments.
Demonstrate a proven track record of excellent project management, bringing the ability to quickly put structure in place to manage work in a dynamic complex environment.
Display a passion for coaching and developing a team of associates through their leadership style.
Have excellent communication and partnership skills essential for interacting and communicating with key stakeholders at all levels across the company to manage, inform and influence outcomes.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or Military experience.
At least 4 years of Process or Risk Management experience.
At least 3 years of Project Management experience.
At least 2 years of Continual Improvement experience.
At least 1 year of experience in People management.
At least 2 years of Jira experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Masters / MBA degree.
5+ years of experience in Process management.
4+ years of experience in Project management.
2+ years of experience in People management.
PMP, Lean, Agile or Six Sigma certification.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Strong problem‑solving and influencing skills.
Work experience achieving results with complex projects.

This salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part‑time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
Chicago, IL: $122,100 - $139,400
Houston, TX: $122,100 - $139,400
McLean, VA: $134,400 - $153,300
Riverwoods, IL: $122,100 - $139,400
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long‑term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non‑discretionary depending on the plan.
