The Strategic Buyer is responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies that support cost competitiveness, quality, and supply continuity for our manufacturing operations. This role plays a critical part in building long‑term supplier partnerships, negotiating contracts, and aligning procurement decisions with the values and long‑range vision of a family‑owned business.

Description
Develop and execute procurement strategies to optimize costs and enhance supplier relationships.
Analyze market trends and supplier performance to identify opportunities for cost savings and quality improvements.
Manage supplier contracts, including negotiations, renewals, and compliance monitoring.
Collaborate with internal teams to understand procurement needs and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
Conduct regular supplier performance evaluations and address any issues to maintain strong partnerships.
Maintain accurate procurement records and ensure alignment with company policies and procedures.
Support supply chain initiatives by identifying and implementing process improvements.
Work closely with the finance team to manage budgets and forecast procurement expenses.

A successful Strategic Buyer should have:
Experience in procurement or supply chain management within the business services industry.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess supplier performance and identify cost‑saving opportunities.
Proficiency in contract negotiation and vendor management.
Familiarity with procurement software and tools.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with internal teams and external suppliers.
A proactive approach to problem‑solving and process improvement.
