Senior Buyer

The Senior Buyer is responsible for leading procurement activities, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring the strategic sourcing of quality products that align with company goals. This role requires strong negotiation skills, data-driven decision-making, and the ability to develop and execute purchasing strategies to maximize profitability and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement procurement strategies to achieve business objectives.
Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to ensure cost-effective and high-quality procurement.
Manage supplier performance, contracts, and compliance with company policies.
Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with internal teams to optimize stock availability.
Analyze sales trends, market conditions, and customer preferences to guide purchasing decisions.
Lead and mentor junior buyers, providing guidance and support in their roles.
Establish strong relationships with key suppliers and explore new sourcing opportunities.
Collaborate with merchandising, marketing, and operations teams to align purchasing strategies.
Oversee purchase orders, track shipments, and resolve supply chain issues efficiently.
Stay informed on industry trends, competitive landscape, and best procurement practices.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management.
Proven track record of supplier negotiation and cost reduction initiatives.
Strong analytical skills with experience in sales and inventory data analysis.
Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making abilities.
Ability to manage multiple projects and work in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel; experience with SAP required.
Deep understanding of industry trends, vendor management, and strategic sourcing.
