Hampden Family Pet Hospital is an AAHA‑accredited hospital and partner of the Canine Blood Heroes Blood Bank, providing advanced medical and surgical care—including orthopedic and laparoscopic surgery, acupuncture, and specialty services—for dogs, cats, pocket pets, and reptiles across Englewood and surrounding communities.
What You’ll Do
Lead, support, and develop Veterinary Technicians and Assistants to reach their full potential
Partner with the Practice Manager and hospital leadership to identify goals, gaps, and growth opportunities
Develop and implement efficient nursing workflows, processes, and systems
Coach team members to strengthen clinical judgment, confidence, and decision‑making
Mentor nursing staff across surgery, dentistry, inpatient care, and exam room flow
Guide team members through conflict management and difficult conversations
Model and promote direct, respectful, and transparent communication
Uphold exceptional patient care standards and professional nursing practices
Foster a positive, emotionally intelligent, and team‑based culture
Support engagement, wellbeing, and work‑life balance across the technical team
What We’re Looking For
Minimum Qualifications
Active Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) license in Colorado
5+ years of clinical veterinary technician experience
3+ years of leadership, management, or supervisory experience
Proven success mentoring, coaching, and developing teams
Strong organizational, time‑management, and prioritization skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Advanced technical nursing skills with the ability to model best practices
Ability to influence, coach, and inspire without direct authority
