
RN Clinical Manager – Ambulatory Subspecialty Sites

Shift/Hours
Full-Time, 40 hours per week. Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts; occasional Saturday coverage as needed for clinic call‑offs.
Location: Multi‑site position – supporting various Cincinnati Children’s Ambulatory Subspecialty Clinics.
About The Role
The Clinical Manager partners with site leaders, physicians, and multidisciplinary teams to support daily operations, promote standardization of practice, and foster a positive, team‑oriented culture across ambulatory subspecialty sites.
Key Responsibilities
Provide leadership and direction for nursing and clinical operations across assigned ambulatory subspecialty sites.
Support patient care delivery, staff engagement, and operational efficiency across multiple clinic locations.
Ensure adherence to Cincinnati Children’s policies, standards of care, and regulatory requirements.
Monitor staffing needs, patient flow, and scheduling to ensure optimal coverage.
Lead performance improvement initiatives focused on quality, safety, and patient experience.
Mentor and coach clinical staff, fostering professional growth and accountability.
Collaborate with leadership to align clinic operations with the organization’s strategic goals and initiatives.
Provide Saturday clinic coverage when needed for unexpected call‑offs.
Qualifications
Active RN license in the State of Ohio, and willingness to apply for multistate RN license.
Bachelor’s degree in nursing required; master’s degree preferred.
Minimum of five years of nursing experience, including three years in a leadership or supervisory role.
Strong leadership, communication, and critical‑thinking skills.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to evolving needs.
Experience in an ambulatory or outpatient specialty setting preferred.
Ability and willingness to travel between Cincinnati Children’s ambulatory sites as needed.
Additional Responsibilities
Lead compliance – maintain knowledge of regulatory requirements and accreditation standards, conduct audits, develop corrective action plans.
Operate – serve as point of contact for daily operations, resolve operational questions, oversee staffing, and address workflow improvements.
Project Management – provide leadership for projects, develop plans, allocate resources, report progress.
Financial Management – engage with operational decisions impacting productivity, analyze financial performance, assist in reporting.
