Veterinary Technician I: High school diploma or equivalent and one year relevant experience. Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.

Veterinary Technician II: Credentialed veterinary technician.

Job Description
Are you a skilled veterinary technician who loves both learning and sharing your knowledge and is ready to join a busy team helping cats and dogs with a wide variety of issues requiring soft tissue surgical or minimally invasive intervention? We are looking for our next team member in Small Animal Soft Tissue and Minimally Invasive Surgery!

Our nursing staff assist with appointments, small procedures under sedation and anesthesia in both sterile and aseptic conditions, and diagnostic workups including digital radiography, ultrasound, and CT, along with a host of other nursing skills and client communication.

This position focuses on evaluation and recheck appointments, inpatient care, and coordination of diagnostics and surgical planning rather than being in the operating room. Members of our team work closely with boarded veterinary surgeons, residents/interns, and veterinary students in a fast-paced teaching and learning environment.

Expected Salary
Non-credentialed technicians: $18-22/hr; Credentialed technicians: $20-25/hr

Preferred
Credentialed veterinary technician

Health Assessment Required
Yes; Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs, bend, kneel, pull, push, twist and stand for an extended period of time.

Benefits
This is a CARE position offering limited benefits, including health insurance and paid time off. When appropriate certifications are achieved, promotional opportunities to a level II title may be available. This position will also become eligible for transition into a TEAMS (staff) salary plan.
