Duties
Duties also include restraining horses and other large animals for exams and diagnostic procedures, jogging horses, and aiding in the positioning of horses in the MRI and CT units throughout the workday several days of every workweek. This is a physically demanding position that requires excellent horse handling skills and experience, and the candidate must not have any medical conditions or implants which would preclude entry into the high-field MRI suite.

This is a full-time, benefited position and is considered essential personnel. This position requires a post offer health assessment. Background check will be required. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Minimum Qualifications

Vet Tech Level 1: High School Diploma; two (2) years of work experience loading, unloading, restraining, handling and treating horses or one (1) year of work experience loading, unloading, restraining, handling and treating horses in a veterinary academic teaching hospital. Certification/licensure as a Veterinary Technician is preferred, but NOT required.

Vet Tech Level 2: High School Diploma; four (4) years of work experience loading, unloading, restraining, handling and treating horses or two (2) years of work experience loading, unloading, restraining, handling and treating horses in a veterinary academic teaching hospital. Certification/licensure as a Veterinary Technician IS required.

Expected Salary
$18-25 /hour

Preferred
Certification/licensure as a Veterinary Technician
