Description
Under the general direction of the Rehabilitation Services Manager, the SLP (Speech Language Pathologist) Clinician diagnoses and treats communication and swallowing disorders in patients. The clinician works collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team—including other clinicians, rehab nurses, and physicians—to create the best possible outcome for patients.
Setting & Population Served
Medical and Surgical Units
Intensive Care Unit
Inpatient Rehab Facility – CARF certified 8 bed unit
Emergency and Same Day Surgery
Diverse patient population including orthopedic, neurological, cardiopulmonary, and post‑acute needs
Responsibilities
Diagnose and treat communication and swallowing disorders in patients.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement patient‑centered care plans.
Utilize therapeutic interventions and monitor patient progress toward functional goals.
Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, treatment plans, and outcomes.
Provide family and patient education related to speech‑language and swallowing disorders.
Shift Details
Per diem/On‑call, Day shift.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Education meeting certification, license or registration requirement for Speech Pathology.
Washington Speech Language Pathologist License upon hire.
National Provider BLS – American Heart Association upon hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
1 year of Speech Language Pathology experience.
Wage Range
$43.64 - $67.74 DOE
