Overview
Under the general direction of the Rehabilitation Services Manager, the Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Clinician diagnoses and treats communication and swallowing disorders in patients. The SLP Clinician will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team—including other clinicians, rehab nurses, and physicians—to create the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Providence St. Mary Medical Center operates as a rural community hospital and serves:

Medical and Surgical Units

Intensive Care Unit

Inpatient Rehab Facility – CARF certified 8 bed unit

Emergency and Same Day Surgery

A diverse patient population including individuals with orthopedic, neurological, cardiopulmonary, and post‑acute needs

Responsibilities
Diagnose and treat communication and swallowing disorders.

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement treatment plans.

Maintain a pleasant, respectful, and courteous demeanor in all interactions with patients, families, staff, and visitors.

Shift Details
Per diem/On‑call, Day shift

Wage Range
$43.64 - $67.74 DOE

Required Qualifications

Education meeting certification, license, or registration requirements.

Washington Speech Language Pathologist license upon hire.

National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire.

Preferred Qualifications

Minimum of 1 year of Speech Language Pathology experience.
