Opportunity:

Physician - Internal Medicine - Critical Care Medicine

Job Details:

  • Provide consultative services to patients admitted to ICUs with 32 critical care beds (SICU, MICU, CVCU, CCU)

  • Work alongside hospitalists who serve as attending physicians while providing intensivist consultation

  • Perform bedside procedures, ventilator management, and pulmonary/critical care services

  • Hospital inpatient schedule: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Monday through Friday with call coverage

  • Call responsibilities include 24-hour coverage Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, plus weekday call starting at 5:00 PM

  • Average 2-3 phone consults, 5-7 admissions, and 20-25 patients seen per call shift

  • Nurse practitioner assistance available for weekday patient rounds

  • Mid-level staff available to assist with inpatient rounding

  • ACLS and BLS certifications required

  • Fellowship training required

  • Preferred skills include ventilation management, chest tube insertion, bronchoscopy, central/arterial line placement, and diagnostic procedures
