Internal Medicine - Critical Care Physician

Coverage Needed:

• Start Date: 2026-05-15
• End Date: 2026-05-18
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 0800 - 1700
• Call: 24-hour call on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday; starts at 5 PM on weekdays

Clinical Details:

• 32 critical care beds (SICU, MICU, CVCU, CCU)
• Hospitalists admit and serve as attending physicians for ICU beds, and will consult the intensivist for bedside procedures, ventilator management, and other pulmonary and critical care related services
• Call: Beeper with 30min response time required
  • Average phone consults per call shift: 2-3
  • Average admissions per call shift: 5-7
  • Average patients seen per call shift: 20-25
• EMR: Cerner
• Support Staff: Nurse practitioner available during weekdays, Mid-level staff are available to assist with inpatient rounding
• Provide consultative services to patients that have been admitted into one of the ICUs

Requirements:

• Licensed in AL or IMLC
• ACLS, BLS
